Project Management. Communication & Marketing.

About me

I am Sophie from Munich, living in Berlin. Communication, Marketing and PR have been a stringent part of my professional career, always closely linked to project management. I am a skilled, creative and passionate person, who loves being part of a diverse team. I am currently employed by the Bechtle E-Commerce Holding AG, working for the Marketing Centre of Excellence as a Marketing Project Manager. Initially, I started at Bechtle as Executive Assistant & Project Manager to a member of the E-COM board and supported him in all his activities, especially in the transformation strategy. Several Centres of Excellence were founded to implement the strategy. After the Executive Vice President left the company at his request, I started working full-time for the Marketing Centre of Excellence and took over the team lead of communication and content.

I studied „Communication Science“ in Salzburg at the Paris-Lodron University. My focus areas were intercultural and interpersonal communication and Public Relations. After graduating in 2016, I worked on multiple international projects and gained experience in the music and entertainment industry. When I was not working, I was travelling mainly in the US and Latin America. In 2018, I moved to Spain to study the Master program „Communication and Future Marketing“ which I concluded with a Magna Cum Laude. In the Fall of 2019, I participated in advanced training for Lean Product Management at All Women Tech.

    Marketing Centre of Excellence

Bechtle ranks among Europe´s leading IT service providers with 80 system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as 24 e-commerce companies in 14 European countries. The Marketing Centre of Excellence is a central function to support 11 countries and five brands with their implementation of the transformation strategy. The main focus is the strategic campaigns of Bechtle solutions (XAAS) that are being rolled out across Europe. I am the Project lead of Communication and Media production and the Country Manager of the UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.

My work as Project lead of Communication and Media production focuses on Internal Communication, Branding, Social Media, Public Relation and content production together with my team. This means planning communication and marketing activities and new content in close collaboration with the key stakeholders. We develop different formats along the customer journey to generate leads. These can be landing pages, social media ads, articles or blogs, from whitepapers to infographics but also videos or sales assets. Additionally, I manage and run PR campaigns from press releases, articles and I am the point of contact for PR agencies as well as for corporate communication in questions around the non-DACH countries. Furthermore, the internal communication across the European countries lies in my responsibility. One of the most recent projects for example involved the development of a centralised internal platform. As a Country Manager, I advise and support the local marketers to improve marketing initiatives, increase knowledge and team development.

  • “Wings of Freedom”
    European tour

During the concert series, the Man Doki Soulmates played at l’Olympia, Paris, Hammersmith Appolo, London, and the grand finale was at the Konzerthaus, Berlin. With a total of 35 Grammys, the who-is-who of rock and jazz stood on stage to perform their own and shared songs from the last 25 years. A breathtaking show in sold-out halls, supported by a crew of 40 people who travelled together with the artists through Europe. The tour was celebrated with a big after-show event which numerous prominent guests attended. As the Project Manager, it was my responsibility to keep the overview and manage the tour smoothly. I organized and structured the complete journey, including rehearsals, concerts and after-show parties. I was the constant contact person for all department, such as promoters, engineers, film production, public relation, and digital marketing. However, I was not only supervising but also executed many tasks myself.

  • "Sehnsucht nach Freiheit"

"Sehnsucht nach Freiheit" is the name of a project that commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian uprising against the Soviets in 1956 in Hungary. The project explains in the form of a documentary film and book not only the background of the struggle for freedom against the communist dictatorship but also describes the historical context of European history from then until now. Historians, contemporary witnesses and leading protagonists of our society, such as Guido Knopp, Hubert Burda, Mikhail Gorbachev, Gregor Gysi, Edmund Stoiber, Armin Laschet, Kai Dieckmann and many more, participated. My tasks in this project were organising and managing film as well as photo shootings in Germany and Hungary, conducting interviews, copywriting and research. Additionally, I developed communication and digital marketing strategies in cooperation with ProSiebenSat.1 Media. This included also handling the media relations for the premiere broadcast. The documentary aired on Kabel Eins Doku.
